It’s been a crazy year, in many ways. In terms of communication, speaking and writing clearly have never been more important.
As a professor for decades, and as a writer who notices such things, I have seen a group of mistakes that are, unfortunately, becoming more and more common. I’d love to slow that down, and if possible, even reverse that trend!
The goal of this site is not to turn you into a grammar nerd, and certainly not a grammar snob. It’s to have fun clearing things up, and to give you the tools to be the best communicator you can be.
You can sign up below to receive the weekly emails (which will come on Tuesdays starting in January).
Looking forward to laughing

Looking forward to your blog. Since my grandparents died when I was young, I never acquired a higher level of associative or communicative development with either my grandpa or my grammar. FYI, my grammar’s maiden name was Mable Corbett…good Irishmen.

I hope you will address the constant misuse of the word ‘bring’. I have always thought the word ‘bring’ relates to the word ‘come’, as the word ‘take’ relates to the word ‘go’. However nowadays ‘bring’ is used constantly when ‘take’ should be used in many instances.
